This is highly recommended as a preparatory step before using generative AI tools like Product to Model, as a messy background in the source image can confuse the AI generation engine and lead to artifacts in your final ecommerce photos.
How to Remove Backgrounds with AI
1. Upload Your Product Image
Upload the image containing the subject, fashion model, or clothing product you want to isolate.
2. Automatic AI Processing
Our AI engine automatically detects the main subject in the photo. In most cases, you don't need to do anything else! It will instantly strip away the background, leaving a clean, transparent canvas behind your subject.
3. Download Your Cutout
Once you are happy with the cutout, you can click Download to save the image directly to your computer as a high-quality PNG with a transparent background. You can then upload this clean image into Product to Model or Image Try-On for perfect generations.
Best Practices for Clean AI Cutouts
High Contrast: The background removal AI works best when there is a clear color or lighting difference between the subject and the background.
Sharp Focus: Blurry edges make it difficult for the AI to determine where the subject ends and the background begins. Ensure your original photo is in focus.
Lighting: Flat, even lighting helps the AI accurately detect edges. Heavy, dramatic shadows cast onto the background can sometimes be misidentified as part of the subject.
