Product to Model: Generate AI Fashion Photography

The Product to Model tool is the core AI engine of the Fit It On platform. It allows ecommerce fashion brands to take simple product photography—like flat-lays or ghost mannequins—and realistically drape and fit them onto a virtual human model using advanced generative AI.

This AI virtual try-on workflow eliminates the need for expensive photoshoots and allows you to showcase your catalog on diverse AI fashion models effortlessly.

How to Use the Product to Model AI

1. Upload the Product Photo

Start by uploading the image of the clothing you want to feature on your AI model.

  • Supported Types: Tops, Bottoms, Dresses, Outerwear, Bags, Jewelry, Watches, Shoes, and Accessories—literally any fashion product!
  • Best Practices: Ensure the garment is flat, well-lit, and the edges are clearly visible. A clean white or transparent background yields the best AI generation results.

2. Choose a Reference AI Model

You can (and we encourage you to!) choose a "base" person for the AI to build upon. Fit It On gives you multiple options through the Model Selector:

  • Catalog Models: Choose from our extensive, diverse library of pre-set AI models.
  • Your Models: Select an AI model you've previously uploaded and saved to your brand's account.

3. Advanced Settings

Configure your final output settings before generating:

  • Samples: Choose how many image variations you want the AI to generate simultaneously.
  • Quality: Select between standard (1k) or high-resolution (2k/4k) outputs. Note: Generation cost scales based on the quality selected.
  • Aspect Ratio: Standard (1:1), Portrait (4:5), or Story (9:16).
  • Photography Style: Choose from preset professional photography styles to instantly define the environment, lighting, and mood for your AI generation (e.g., Studio, Streetwear, Cinematic).

4. Generate and Review

Click Generate. The Fit It On AI will synthesize the product onto the virtual model, adapting the lighting, shadows, and fabric physics to make it look completely natural and ready for your ecommerce storefront.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

This usually happens if the input image is too low resolution, or if the garment is crumpled in the flat-lay. Try uploading a flatter, higher-quality image.

Sometimes the AI struggles if the original garment image had a messy or complex background. We highly recommend using the Background Removal tool in the Studio to isolate your garment before running the Product to Model generator.
